Tips for submitting useful comments
We carefully review all comments on rules. Rules are designed to bring clarity to obligations established by the law, remember that we cannot change the law.. We are most interested in your comments about specific proposed rules. The most useful comments:

Include the number of the rule you are commenting on.
- For example: “Proposed Rule 18 NCAC 07B .___ is ____.”

Be specific. Tell us whether your comment focuses upon:
- The substance of the proposed rule
- How the proposed rule is worded
- Our authority to adopt the proposed rule

If you are commenting on the fiscal note, include:
- The section title and page number
- Be specific about what you are commenting on
